Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You say so.”


Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”


And they began saluting him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”


The inscription of the charge against him read, “The King of the Jews.”


Let the Messiah, the King of Israel, come down from the cross now, so that we may see and believe.” Those who were crucified with him also taunted him.


Then Pilate asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” He answered, “You say so.”


They kept coming up to him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and striking him on the face.
