Indeed, those who are far from you will perish; you put an end to those who are false to you.
All servants of images are put to shame, those who make their boast in worthless idols; all gods bow down before him.
The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
The perverse get what their ways deserve, and the good, what their deeds deserve.
But rebels and sinners shall be destroyed together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.
Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word: Your own people who hate you and reject you for my name’s sake have said, “Let the Lord be glorified, so that we may see your joy,” but it is they who shall be put to shame.
O hope of Israel, its savior in time of trouble, why should you be like a stranger in the land, like a traveler turning aside for the night?

For this reason therefore I asked to see you and speak with you, since it is for the sake of the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain.”
