The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth.


Joy and gladness are taken away from the fruitful field, and in the vineyards no exultation is heard; no shouts are raised; no treader treads out wine in the presses; the vintage shout is hushed.

The Lord, God of hosts, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who live in it mourn, and all of it rises like the Nile and sinks again, like the Nile of Egypt,


Do you not say, ‘Four months more, then comes the harvest’? But I tell you, look around you, and see how the fields are ripe for harvesting.


The mountains quaked before the Lord, the One of Sinai, before the Lord, the God of Israel.
