So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.


Very truly, I tell you, slaves are not greater than their master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them.


For a man ought not to have his head veiled, since he is the image and reflection of God, but woman is the reflection of man.


I urged Titus to go and sent the brother with him. Titus did not take advantage of you, did he? Did we not conduct ourselves with the same spirit? Did we not walk in the same footsteps?


But God, who consoles the downcast, consoled us by the arrival of Titus,


But thanks be to God, who put in the heart of Titus the same eagerness for you that I myself have.


With him we are sending the brother who is praised among all the churches for his work for the gospel,


and not only that, but he has also been appointed by the churches to travel with us while we are administering this generous undertaking for the glory of the Lord himself and to show our goodwill.


And with them we are sending our brother whom we have often tested and found eager in many matters but who is now more eager than ever because of his great confidence in you.


so that we might urge Titus that, as he had already made a beginning, so he should also complete this generous undertaking among you.


Still, I think it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus—my brother and coworker and fellow soldier, your messenger and minister to my need,


Yes, and I ask you also, my loyal companion, help these women, for they have struggled beside me in the work of the gospel, together with Clement and the rest of my coworkers, whose names are in the book of life.


This you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,


but though we had already suffered and been shamefully mistreated at Philippi, as you know, we had courage in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in spite of great opposition.


for Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica; Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.


To Titus, my true child in the faith we share: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.


So if you consider me your partner, welcome him as you would welcome me.


and so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my coworkers.


Therefore we ought to support such people, so that we may become coworkers with the truth.
