But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. I do not even judge myself.


Now concerning virgins, I have no command of the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy.


For we are not peddlers of God’s word like so many, but as persons of sincerity, as persons sent from God, we are speaking in Christ before God.


We have renounced the shameful, underhanded ways; we refuse to practice cunning or to falsify God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we commend ourselves to the conscience of everyone in the sight of God.


This you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,


And say to Archippus, “See that you complete the task that you have received in the Lord.”


Tychicus will tell you all the news about me; he is a beloved brother, a faithful minister, and a fellow servant in the Lord.
