Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach, and is cast out into a latrine?


How is it you do not perceive that I did not speak to you about bread, but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?"


Do you not yet perceive, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took [up]?


For they had not understood concerning the loaves, because their heart was hardened.


So He said to them, "Are you also without understanding? Do you not understand that everything entering a man from outside cannot defile him,


But they did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.


But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know what was being said.


And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.


But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.


For indeed, although you ought to be teachers by this time, again you have need [for someone ]to teach you what are the elements of the beginning of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
