But [instead], they went all over the district telling people about Him.
And news about Him quickly spread everywhere, [even] into all of Galilee and the surrounding regions.
But [instead] the man went out telling everyone about the miracle of healing and spreading the story widely, so that Jesus was not able to enter a town publicly but had to remain outside in deserted places. [So], people went to Him there from all over the region.
[Then] Jesus withdrew [from there] with His disciples and went to the lake [i.e., Lake of Galilee], being followed by a large crowd from Galilee. Also, a large crowd from Judea,
About this time, while a crowd of many thousands had assembled, [so large that] people were trampling on one another, Jesus first began telling His disciples, “Watch out for the leavening [effect] of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Now large crowds were following Jesus and He turned [around] and said to them,
And a large crowd followed Him because they had seen the [miraculous] signs He had performed on sick people.
In the same way, the good deeds [of people] are [also] evident, and even those [deeds] which are not [good] cannot be hidden.
