And when Jesus came to the tree, He said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down [from that tree], for I need to stay at your house today.”


And He replied to them, “Look, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him into whatever house he goes.


And he will show you a large, completely furnished upstairs room. Make preparations [for us] there [i.e., to observe the Passover Festival].”


After saying this, she left and called her sister Mary and said to her privately, “The Teacher is here and is asking for you.”


Look, I am standing at [your] door and knocking; if anyone hears my voice [i.e., the sound of my knocking], and opens the door, I will [surely] come in to him and eat with him and he [will eat] with me.
