Think about it: the joy of the Lord doesn't just fill you with strength, it brings us all together. It's a joy that's not meant to be kept to yourself; it needs to be shared. Just like the Israelites were instructed to celebrate and share what they had with each other, you can spread the joy of the Lord with everyone you know.
This joy challenges you to love your neighbor and share the Gospel. When your heart is joyful in God, you are strong and empowered to spread that joy throughout your community. It's a lasting joy, something no one can take away.
Psalm 98:4-6 says, "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King." You can find so many verses like this that talk about the joy of our God.
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
Thus saith YY -TZvaot, the Elohim of Yisrael; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Yhudah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; YY bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.
In that day shall Yisrael be the third with Egypt and with Ashur, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
And Aharon lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.
Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Avraham thy father;
And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Yisrael bless, saying, Elohim make thee as Efrayim and as Mnasheh: and he set Efrayim before Mnasheh.
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which YY hath blessed.
Even by the Elohim of thy father, who shall help thee; and by El Shaddai, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
In that I Command thee this day to love YY thy Elohim, to walk in his ways, and to keep His Commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and YY thy Elohim shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your Elohim.
Speak ye comfortably to Yerushalayim, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of YY 's hand double for all her sins.
And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that YY blessed the Egyptian's house for Yosef's sake; and the blessing of YY was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Yhudah, and house of Yisrael; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.
They that trust in YY shall be as mount TZiyon, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
As the mountains are round about Yerushalayim, so YY is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
And YY will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
Blessed be YY Elohim, the Elohim of Yisrael, who only doeth wondrous things.
And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of YY thy Elohim, and for the Holy One of Yisrael; for he hath glorified thee.
YY shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
For thus saith YY -TZvaot; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
And the Scripture, foreseeing that Elohim would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the good news unto Avraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
If I forget thee, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand forget her cunning.
If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Yerushalayim above my chief joy.
For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and YY hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith YY that hath mercy on thee.
YY hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Yisrael; he will bless the house of Aharon.
He will bless them that fear YY , both small and great.
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
And YY thy Elohim will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal kehunnath, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Save when there shall be no poor among you; for YY shall greatly bless thee in the land which YY thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:
Thus saith YY Elohim, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
For YY hath chosen TZiyon; he hath desired it for his habitation.
This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
When YY turned again the captivity of TZiyon, we were like them that dream.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, YY hath done great things for them.
And say unto them, Thus saith YY Elohim; Behold, I will take the children of Yisrael from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Yisrael; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.
I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Yerushalayim, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of YY , keep not silence,
And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Yerushalayim a praise in the earth.
Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be YY over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of Elohim, the holy place of the tabernacles of the El Elyon.
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he Commanded to a thousand generations.
Which covenant he made with Avraham, and his oath unto Yitzchak;
And confirmed the same unto Yaakov for a Torah, and to Yisrael for an everlasting covenant:
His foundation is in the holy mountains.
YY loveth the gates of TZiyon more than all the dwellings of Yaakov.
Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of Elohim. Selah.
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am YY , when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
YY shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
Ye are blessed of YY which made heaven and earth.
Thus saith YY Elohim, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am YY : for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
Hear the word of YY , O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Yisrael will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
Let Elohim arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of Elohim.
For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith YY -TZvaot.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of YY 's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of YY , to the house of the Elohim of Yaakov; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of TZiyon shall go forth the Torah, and the word of YY from Yerushalayim.
And so all Yisrael shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of TZiyon the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Yaakov:
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
That thou mayest love YY thy Elohim, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which YY sware unto thy fathers, to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Yaakov, to give them.
Ascribe ye strength unto Elohim: his excellency is over Yisrael, and his strength is in the clouds.
O Elohim, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the Elohim of Yisrael is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be Elohim.
