36 “This one led them out, after he had done wonders and signs in the land of Mitsrayim, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

“Do not harden your hearts as in Meriḇah, And as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,


And it came to be at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, on that same day it came to be that all the divisions of יהוה went out from the land of Mitsrayim.


And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea. And יהוה caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.


And the children of Yisra’ĕl ate manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land. They ate manna until they came to the border of the land of Kena‛an.


“And I shall stretch out My hand and strike Mitsrayim with all My wonders which I shall do in its midst. And after that he shall let you go.


And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Come, go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Mitsrayim, to the land of which I swore to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Ya‛aqoḇ, saying, ‘To your seed I give it.’


יהושע then said to him, “If you people do not see signs and wonders, you do not believe at all.”


“Now for a time of about forty years He sustained them in the wilderness.


“So Elohim turned and gave them up to worship the host of the heaven, as it has been written in the book of the Prophets, ‘Did you bring slaughtered beasts and offerings unto Me during forty years in the wilderness, O house of Yisra’ĕl?


“Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years.


do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness,


where your fathers tried Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years.


not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Mitsrayim, because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them,” says יהוה.
