2 And having embarked in a ship from Adramyttium, about to sail along the coasts of Asia, did set sail. Aristarchos, a Makedonian of Thessalonike, was with us.

And when it came to be that our days there were ended, we left and went on, all of them accompanying us, with wives and children, till we were out of the city. And kneeling down on the beach, we prayed.


who also respected us in many ways. And when we were setting sail, they provided us with our needs.


And having landed at Syracuse, we stayed three days,


And when we came to Rome, the captain delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Sha’ul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier guarding him.


And the foreigners showed us extraordinary kindness, for they kindled a fire and received us all, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold.


Aristarchos my fellow prisoner greets you, with Marqos the relative of Barnaḇa about whom you received instructions: if he comes to you, welcome him,


and Marqos, Aristarchos, Demas, Luqas, my fellow workers.
