But You, יהוה, laugh at them, You mock all the nations.


They arm themselves with an evil word; They talk of hiding snares; They have said, “Who sees them?”


They search out unrighteousnesses, “We have perfected a well searched out plan.” For the inward part of man, and heart, are deep.


And they have said, “How could Ěl know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?”


Yet they say, “Yah does not see, And the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ pays no heed.”


Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is filled in them to do evil.


And He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Yisra’ĕl are doing in the dark, each one in the room of his idols? For they say, ‘יהוה does not see us, יהוה has forsaken the land.’ ”


And He said to me, “The crookedness of the house of Yisra’ĕl and Yehuḏah is exceedingly great, and the land is filled with bloodshed, and the city filled with that which is warped. For they say, ‘יהוה has forsaken the land, and יהוה is not seeing!’


“And they do not say to their hearts that I remember all their evil. Now their own deeds have surrounded them, they have been before Me.


Now some of the scribes were sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,


And when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This One, if He were a prophet, would know who and what kind of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”
