And as יהושע passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of Dawiḏ, have compassion on us!”


And rising up from there He came into the borders of Yehuḏah by the other side of the Yardĕn. And crowds gathered to Him again, and as He usually did, He was teaching them again.


And they came again to Yerushalayim. And as He was walking in the Set-apart Place, the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders came to Him,


Daily I was with you in the Set-apart Place teaching, and you did not seize Me. But let the Scriptures be filled.


And He was teaching daily in the Set-apart Place. But the chief priests and the scribes and the leaders of the people were seeking to destroy Him,


And it came to be, on one of those days, as He was teaching the people in the Set-apart Place and bringing the Good News, that the chief priests and the scribes, together with the elders, came up


And He was teaching in the Set-apart Place by day, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain of Olives,


יהושע answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in the congregation and in the Set-apart Place, where the Yehuḏim always meet, and I spoke no word in secret.


“Did not the Scripture say that the Messiah comes from the seed of Dawiḏ and from the village of Bĕyth Leḥem, where Dawiḏ was?”
