“And you spurned all my counsel, And would not yield to my reproof,
“How do you say, ‘We are wise, and the Torah of יהוה is with us’? But look, the false pen of the scribe has worked falsehood.
and one of them, one learned in the Torah, did question, trying Him, and saying,
Yerushalayim, Yerushalayim, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her! How often I wished to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you would not!”
But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people shall stone us, for they are persuaded that Yoḥanan was a prophet.
And the Master said, “To what then shall I compare the men of this generation, and what are they like?
“For I kept not back from declaring to you all the counsel of Elohim.

And working together, we also call upon you not to receive the favour of Elohim in vain –
“I do not set aside the favour of Elohim, for if righteousness is through Torah, then Messiah died for naught.”
