But they were mocking the messengers of Elohim and despising His words and scoffing at His prophets, until the wrath of יהוה arose against His people, until there was no healing.


Not I, but your own mouth condemns you. And your own lips witness against you.


And they cause one to stumble, Their own tongue is against them; All who see them flee away.


“And you said, ‘Why should the son not bear the crookedness of the father?’ But the son has done right-ruling and righteousness, he has guarded all My laws and he does them, he shall certainly live.


“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you are like whitewashed tombs which outwardly indeed look well, but inside are filled with dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.


Thus you bear witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who did murder the prophets –


“Woe to you, because you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.


“And because of this the wisdom of Elohim said, ‘I shall send them prophets and emissaries, and some of them they shall kill and persecute,’


who, though they know the righteousness of Elohim, that those who practise such deserve death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practise them.


My brothers, as an example of suffering and patience, take the prophets, who spoke in the Name of יהוה.


Then Yehoshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen יהוה for yourselves, to serve Him.” And they said, “Witnesses!”
