But Aḇnĕr son of Nĕr, commander of the army of Sha’ul, took Ishbosheth the son of Sha’ul, and brought him over to Maḥanayim,
And the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl said to his servants, “Do you know that Ramoth in Gil‛aḏ is ours, and we are keeping silent from taking it out of the hand of the sovereign of Aram!”
and their border was Ya‛zĕr, and all the cities of Gil‛aḏ, and half the land of the children of Ammon as far as Aro‛ĕr, which is before Rabbah,
and in the valley Bĕyth Haram, and Bĕyth Nimrah, and Sukkoth, and Tsaphon, the rest of the reign of Siḥon sovereign of Ḥeshbon, the Yardĕn being its border, as far as the edge of the Sea of Kinnereth, beyond the Yardĕn eastward.
And beyond the Yardĕn, by Yeriḥo eastward, they appointed Betser in the wilderness on the plain, from the tribe of Re’uḇĕn, and Ramoth in Gil‛aḏ, from the tribe of Gaḏ, and Golan in Bashan, from the tribe of Menashsheh.
And from the tribe of Gaḏ, Ramoth in Gil‛aḏ with its open land as a city of refuge for the man-slayer, and Maḥanayim with its open land,
Then the children of Ammon were called together and encamped in Gil‛aḏ. And the children of Yisra’ĕl gathered together and encamped in Mitspah.
Then Yiphtaḥ went with the elders of Gil‛aḏ, and the people set him over them, as head and commander. And Yiphtaḥ spoke all his words before יהוה in Mitspah.
And the Spirit of יהוה came upon Yiphtaḥ, and he passed through Gil‛aḏ and Menashsheh, and passed through Mitspeh of Gil‛aḏ. And from Mitspeh of Gil‛aḏ he passed on toward the children of Ammon.
