“From the power of She’ol I ransom them, from death I redeem them. Where is your plague, O Death? Where is your destruction, O She’ol? Repentance is hidden from My eyes.
But He ordered them many times that no one should know it, and said that she should be given food to eat.
“And another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I kept laid up in a handkerchief.
And he who was dead sat up and began to speak, and He gave him to his mother.
יהושע said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who had died, said to Him, “Master, already he smells, for it is four days.”
And when He had said this, He cried with a loud voice, “El‛azar, come out!”
Then they took the body of יהושע, and bound it in linen wrappings with the spices, as was the habit of the Yehuḏim for burial.
And stooping down he saw the linen wrappings lying, but he did not go in.
and the cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings, but folded up in a place by itself.
“For as the Father raises the dead and makes alive, even so the Son makes alive whom He wishes.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of Elohim. And those having heard shall live.
who shall change our lowly body, to be conformed to His esteemed body, according to the working by which He is able even to bring all under His control.
and the living One. And I became dead, and see, I am living forever and ever. Amĕn. And I possess the keys of She’ol and of Death.
“יהוה puts to death and makes alive, He brings down to She’ol and raises up.
