And the sons of Miḏyan were Ěphah, and Ěpher, and Ḥanoḵ, and Aḇiḏa, and Elda‛ah. All these were the children of Qeturah.


and set him up to reign over Gil‛aḏ, and over the Ashĕrites, and over Yizre‛ĕl, and over Ephrayim, and over Binyamin, and over all Yisra’ĕl.


And the sovereigness of Sheḇa heard of the report of Shelomoh concerning the Name of יהוה, and came to try him with hard questions.


Passengers of Tĕma looked expectantly, travellers of Sheḇa waited for them.


Let the sovereigns of Tarshish and of the isles bring presents; The sovereigns of Sheḇa and Seḇa offer gifts.


The message concerning Araḇia. In the forest in Araḇia you stay, O you travelling companies of Deḏanites.


“A stream of camels cover your land, the dromedaries of Miḏyan and Ěphah; all those from Sheḇa come, bearing gold and incense, and proclaiming the praises of יהוה.

therefore thus said the Master יהוה, “I shall stretch out My hand against Eḏom, and I shall cut off man and beast from it and lay it waste – from Tĕman even to Deḏan they shall fall by the sword.


“The men of Deḏan traded with you. Many isles were your market, they brought you ivory tusks and ebony as payment.


“Deḏan traded with you in saddlecloths for riding.


“From the oaks of Bashan they made your oars. They made your deck with ivory from the coasts of Kittim.
