And He humbled you, and let you suffer hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, to make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of יהוה.
“Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years.
“And these wineskins which we filled were new, and see, they are torn. And these our garments and our sandals have become old because of the very long journey.”
and old and patched sandals on their feet, and old garments on themselves. And all the bread of their provision was dry, it was crumbs.
