And Neḥemyah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Lĕwites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is set-apart to יהוה your Elohim. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept when they heard the words of the Torah.
I know that there is no good for them but to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,
and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is a gift of Elohim.
See what I have seen: It is good and beautiful for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which Elohim gives him, for it is his portion.

Is not the food cut off before our eyes, joy and gladness from the House of our Elohim?

“And you shall use the silver for whatever your being desires: for cattle or sheep, for wine or strong drink, for whatever your being desires. And you shall eat there before יהוה your Elohim, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.
“You and your household are to eat it before יהוה your Elohim year by year in the place which יהוה chooses.
and shall rejoice in all the good which יהוה your Elohim has given to you and your house, you and the Lĕwite and the stranger who is among you.
“and shall slaughter peace offerings, and eat there, and rejoice before יהוה your Elohim.
Because you did not serve יהוה your Elohim with joy and gladness of heart for all the plenty,”
