For I am filled with words; the spirit within me presses me.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall prove wrong. This is the inheritance of the servants of יהוה, and their righteousness from Me,” declares יהוה.


“And I shall make you to this people a strong bronze wall. And they shall fight against you, but not overcome you. For I am with you to save you and deliver you,” declares יהוה.


“But when I speak with you, I open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה.’ He who hears, let him hear. And he who refuses, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.


But truly I am filled with power, with the Spirit of יהוה, and with right-ruling and with might, to declare to Ya‛aqoḇ his transgression and to Yisra’ĕl his sin.


“And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Ěliyahu, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the insight of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for יהוה.”


“For I shall give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to refute or resist.


The officers answered, “Never has any man spoken like this Man!”


“but if it is of Elohim, you are unable to overthrow it, lest you even be found to fight against Elohim.


Then they instigated men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Mosheh and Elohim.”


But some of those of the so-called Congregation of the Freedmen (Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Kilikia and Asia), rose up, disputing with Stephanos,


“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Set-apart Spirit, as your fathers did, you also do.


And my word and my preaching were not with persuasive words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
