Alleged Christian church celebrates party with children dressed as women promoting the “free gospel”

An alleged congregation has caused controversy in Brazil because it celebrated carnival inside the church and allowed young boys and girls wearing costumes and exchanged their clothes among them all.

According to Portal do Trono, the Youth of Christ Church went viral through social media when they recorded young people screaming, dancing and playing inside the temple wearing costumes and masks, but the detail is that the boys wore girls’ clothes and vice versa; most of them were children not older than 15 years.

Within the Vista Alegre neighborhood, south of Rio de Janeiro, the celebration took place within the activities of “Acampateen 2k22”, promoted by the congregation during the carnival season.

According to the reports from the site, they found that the camp had dozens of young people who met for a whole week to play games, do sports and swim in a pool, but that at certain times they worship, praise and praye.

In one of those days, the “game” was that the young boys would dress as girls and vice versa, a dynamic in which even the musicians participated in addition to having masks alluding to the carnival.

The images that were obtained from a person who was at the event were published by WhatsApp and Facebook groups, and although carnival is very common in Brazil, it is not within a congregation, which caused a lot of outrage in the people who saw the video.

“Carnival flock in the youth church of Christ in Vista Alegre neighborhood, wasn’t it going to be prayer instead of young people dressed as women and wearing makeup? Nothing against it, but being an event with young people from a church, I don’t think this attitude is great. But also, what to expect from a church whose founding pastor brings a second wife into the house? And you, sheep, will you  shut up?” one follower wrote.

The last context exposed by the follower’s comment refers to the fact that the wife of the pastor of the congregation, Fernanda Asvolinsque, said last year that supposedly “God had told her to find a second wife for her husband because she would die in that same year”, now the pastor has two wives.

After the controversy over their actions, the Instagram account of the church and the pastor became private to avoid harsh criticism, since they promote “the free gospel.”

It has been the will of these supposed leaders of congregations to twist the Bible for not obeying God’s commandments the way they are, and as a consequence those who share a false gospel, people react with sinful actions that the Lord hates. For this reason, it is necessary that we are aware of the message that is transmitted to us in order not to be deceived and to be able to live a pleasant life and in accordance with the will of the Creator.
