to fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.


Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: For thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.


Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: For the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.


O God, thou knowest my foolishness; And my sins are not hid from thee.


O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?


How long, LORD? Wilt thou be angry for ever? Shall thy jealousy burn like fire?


a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;


I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.


In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.


How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.


I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

in the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.


O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!


I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.


and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
