Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: For they are the rejoicing of my heart.


I am thy servant; give me understanding, That I may know thy testimonies.


Thy testimonies are wonderful: Therefore doth my soul keep them.


My soul hath kept thy testimonies; And I love them exceedingly.


Thy testimonies also are My delight and my counsellors.


I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.


The bands of the wicked have robbed me: But I have not forgotten thy law.


The proud have forged a lie against me: But I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.


When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, They stumbled and fell.


The wicked watcheth the righteous, And seeketh to slay him.


They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: And they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.


And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.


But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.


and desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.
