Psalm 44:20

Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven,


“If you prepare your heart, you will stretch out your hands toward him.


All this has come upon us, though we have not forgotten you, and we have not been false to your covenant.


But the king shall rejoice in God; all who swear by him shall exult, for the mouths of liars will be stopped.


Nobles shall come from Egypt; Cush shall hasten to stretch out her hands to God.


They forgot his works and the wonders that he had shown them.


There shall be no strange god among you; you shall not bow down to a foreign god.


Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will stretch out my hands to the Lord. The thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, so that you may know that the earth is the Lord’s.


You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are around you—
