The vexation of a fool is known at once, but the prudent ignores an insult.


A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaims folly.


Wisdom rests in the heart of a man of understanding, but it makes itself known even in the midst of fools.


Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.


Therefore he who is prudent will keep silent in such a time, for it is an evil time.


Put no trust in a neighbor; have no confidence in a friend; guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your arms;


And he told her all his heart, and said to her, “A razor has never come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If my head is shaved, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak and be like any other man.”
