And in all the country you possess, you shall allow a redemption of the land.


If a man has no one to redeem it and then himself becomes prosperous and finds sufficient means to redeem it,


“If a stranger or sojourner with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him becomes poor and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner with you or to a member of the stranger’s clan,


If he dedicates to the Lord a field that he has bought, which is not a part of his possession,


For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.


And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,


And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he be blessed by the Lord, whose kindness has not forsaken the living or the dead!” Naomi also said to her, “The man is a close relative of ours, one of our redeemers.”


And now it is true that I am a redeemer. Yet there is a redeemer nearer than I.


Is not Boaz our relative, with whose young women you were? See, he is winnowing barley tonight at the threshing floor.


He said, “Who are you?” And she answered, “I am Ruth, your servant. Spread your wings over your servant, for you are a redeemer.”


Then he said to the redeemer, “Naomi, who has come back from the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land that belonged to our relative Elimelech.
