Sisera called out all his chariots, 900 chariots of iron, and all the men who were with him, from Harosheth-hagoyim to the river Kishon.


Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time.


When new gods were chosen, then war was in the gates. Was shield or spear to be seen among forty thousand in Israel?


And Israel was brought very low because of Midian. And the people of Israel cried out for help to the Lord.


And the people of Israel said to Samuel, “Do not cease to cry out to the Lord our God for us, that he may save us from the hand of the Philistines.”
