And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone.


One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.


So they said to him, “Then how were your eyes opened?”


His parents answered, “We know that this is our son and that he was born blind.


(His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess Jesus to be Christ, he was to be put out of the synagogue.)


Therefore his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”


There he found a man named Aeneas, bedridden for eight years, who was paralyzed.
