17 And they did so. Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff and struck the dust of the earth, and there were gnats on man and beast. All the dust of the earth became gnats in all the land of Egypt.

He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them, and frogs, which destroyed them.


and I say to you, “Let my son go that he may serve me.” If you refuse to let him go, behold, I will kill your firstborn son.’”


Afterward Moses and Aaron went and said to Pharaoh, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”


Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the earth, so that it may become gnats in all the land of Egypt.’”


The Lord of hosts has purposed it, to defile the pompous pride of all glory, to dishonor all the honored of the earth.


Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last.
