You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone.

And they judged the people at all times. Any hard case they brought to Moses, but any small matter they decided themselves.


and the Israelite woman’s son blasphemed the Name, and cursed. Then they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.


And I will come down and talk with you there. And I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not bear it yourself alone.


And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation.


And they stood before Moses and before Eleazar the priest and before the chiefs and all the congregation, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying,


The heads of the fathers’ houses of the clan of the people of Gilead the son of Machir, son of Manasseh, from the clans of the people of Joseph, came near and spoke before Moses and before the chiefs, the heads of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel.


For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing.
