Of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, 200 chiefs, and all their kinsmen under their command.


Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.


But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live.


No ill befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.


The discerning sets his face toward wisdom, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.


A wise man’s heart inclines him to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.


The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.


The wise person has his eyes in his head, but the fool walks in darkness. And yet I perceived that the same event happens to all of them.


I say: Keep the king’s command, because of God’s oath to him.


Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because he was determined to go after filth.


He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”


But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge,


But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.


And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,


But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.
