I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you,


It is a snare to say rashly, “It is holy,” and to reflect only after making vows.


“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, If anyone makes a special vow to the Lord involving the valuation of persons,


Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.


For “the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof.”


You shall be careful to do what has passed your lips, for you have voluntarily vowed to the Lord your God what you have promised with your mouth.


If you go into your neighbor’s standing grain, you may pluck the ears with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain.


Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”


But the people of Israel did not attack them, because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the Lord, the God of Israel. Then all the congregation murmured against the leaders.
