Let the companions of him that is not dwell in his tabernacle: let brimstone be sprinkled in his tent.


All darkness is hid in his secret places. A fire that is not kindled shall devour him: he shall be afflicted when left in his tabernacle.


He shall lean upon his house, and it shall not stand. He shall prop it up, and it shall not rise.


They that hate thee shall be clothed with confusion: and the dwelling of the wicked shall not stand.


Want is from the Lord in the house of the wicked: but the habitations of the just shall be blessed.


Therefore shall a curse devour the earth: and the inhabitants thereof shall sin. And therefore they that dwell therein shall be mad: and few men shall be left.


As the thief is confounded when he is taken, so is the house of Israel confounded, they and their kings, their princes and their priests and their prophets.


Cursing, and lying, and killing, and theft, and adultery have overflowed, and blood hath touched blood.


Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth in it shall languish with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of the air: yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be gathered together.


And they have not known to do the right thing, saith the Lord, storing up iniquity, and robberies in their houses.


And he said to me: This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the earth: for every thief shall be judged as is there written: and every one that sweareth in like manner shall be judged by it.


And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his friend: and love not a false oath: for all these are the things that I hate, saith the Lord.


And I will come to you in judgment, and will be a speedy witness against sorcerers, and adulterers, and false swearers, and them that oppress the hireling in his wages; the widows, and the fatherless: and oppress the stranger, and have not feared me, saith the Lord of hosts.


Cursed shalt thou be in the city: cursed in the field.


Neither shalt thou bring any thing of the idol into thy house, lest thou become an anathema, like it. Thou shalt detest it as dung: and shalt utterly abhor it as uncleanness and filth, because it is an anathema.


But this we will do to them: Let their lives be saved, lest the wrath of the Lord be stirred up against us, if we should be forsworn.
