And the Lord will create, upon every place of mount Sion and where he is called upon, a cloud by day, and a smoke and the brightness of a flaming fire in the night: for over all the glory shall be a protection.


Thus shall you say, every one to his neighbour, and to his brother: What hath the Lord answered and what hath the Lord spoken?


Thus shalt thou say to the prophet: What hath the Lord answered thee and what hath the Lord spoken?


For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of affliction, to give you an end and patience.


And when I shall bring thee down with those that descend into the pit, to the everlasting people, and shall set thee in the lowest parts of the earth, as places desolate of old, with them that are brought down into the pit, that thou be not inhabited: and when I shall give glory in the land of the living,


And he said to me: Son of man, receive in thy heart and hear with thy ears all the words that I speak to thee:


I will stand upon my watch, and fix my foot upon the tower: and I will watch, to see what will be said to me, and what I may answer to him that reproveth me.


And I will be to it, saith the Lord, a wall of fire round about: and I will be in glory in the midst thereof.


For thus saith the Lord of hosts: After the glory he hath sent me to the nations that have robbed you: for he that toucheth you, toucheth the apple of my eye:


A light to the revelation of the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.


And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we saw his glory, the glory as it were of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.


If any man do the will of him; he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.


Then Paul rising up, and with his hand bespeaking silence, said: Ye men of Israel, and you that fear God, give ear.


And said: Here am I; for thou didst call me. Then Heli understood that the Lord called the child, and he said to Samuel: Go, and sleep. And if he shall call thee any more, thou shalt say: Speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and slept in his place.
