Anger indeed killeth the foolish: and envy slayeth the little one.


Hatred stirreth up strifes: and charity covereth all sins.


He that speaketh that which he knoweth, sheweth forth justice: but he that lieth, is a deceitful witness.


In the heart of the prudent resteth wisdom, and it shall instruct all the ignorant.


Knowledge is a fountain of life to him that possesseth it: the instruction of fools is foolishness.


He that concealeth a transgression, seeketh friendships: he that repeateth it again, separateth friends.


As a city that lieth open and is not compassed with walls, so is a man that cannot refrain his own spirit in speaking.


A stone is heavy, and sand weighty: but the anger of a fool is heavier than them both.


A fool uttereth all his mind: a wise man deferreth, and keepeth it till afterwards.


You know, my dearest brethren. And let every man be swift to hear, but slow to speak, and slow to anger.
