And to his son I will give one tribe: that there may remain a lamp for my servant David before me always in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen, that my name might be there.


And I will protect this city, and will save it for my own sake, and for David my servant's sake.


And they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good to Israel, and to his house.


And Ezechias slept with his fathers, and they buried him above the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Juda, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem celebrated his funeral. And Manasses his son reigned in his stead.


Let the memory of him perish from the earth: and let not his name be renowned in the streets.


Let mercy forget him: may worms be his sweetness. Let him be remembered no more, but be broken in pieces as an unfruitful tree.


He shall clasp his hands upon him, and shall hiss at him, beholding his place.


and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?


They were separated, and repented not: they tempted me, they scoffed at me with scorn: they gnashed upon me with their teeth.


Lord, when wilt thou look upon me? rescue thou soul from their malice: my only one from the lions.


These things I remembered, and poured out my soul in me: for I shall go over into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God: With the voice of joy and praise; the noise of one feasting.


A good name is better than great riches: and good favour is above silver and gold.


I saw the wicked buried: who also when they were yet living were in the holy place, and were praised in the city as men of just works: but this also is vanity.


And I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will destroy the name of Babylon, and the remains, and the bud, and the offspring, saith the Lord.


O Lord, the hope of Israel: all that forsake thee shall be confounded: they that depart from thee shall be written in the earth: because they have forsaken the Lord, the vein of living waters.


Amen, I say to you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, that also which she hath done, shall be told for a memorial of her.


Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
