But the king said to him: I adjure thee again and again, that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord.


And the king said: I adjure thee again and again to say nothing but the truth to me, in the name of the Lord.


For thou art God my strength: why hast thou cast me off? and why do I go sorrowful whilst the enemy afflicteth me?


He that is partaker with a thief, hateth his own soul: he heareth one putting him to his oath, and discovereth not.


He was offered because it was his own will, and he opened not his mouth. He shall be led as a sheep to the slaughter, and shall be dumb as a lamb before his shearer, and he shall not open his mouth.


If any one sin, and hear the voice of one swearing, and is a witness either because he himself hath seen, or is privy to it: if he do not utter it, he shall bear his iniquity.


Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.


And the high priest rising up, said to him: Answerest thou nothing to the things which these witness against thee?


And when he was accused by the chief priests and ancients, he answered nothing.


And he answered him to never a word; so that the governor wondered exceedingly.


And saying: Vah, thou that destroyest the temple of God, and in three days dost rebuild it: save thy own self: if thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.


He trusted in God; let him now deliver him if he will have him; for he said: I am the Son of God.


Now the centurion and they that were with him watching Jesus, having seen the earthquake, and the things that were done, were sore afraid, saying: Indeed this was the Son of God.


And the tempter coming said to him: If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.


But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said to him: Art thou the Christ the Son of the blessed God?


And I saw, and I gave testimony, that this is the Son of God.


Nathanael answered him, and said: Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.


The Jews therefore came round about him, and said to him: How long dost thou hold our souls in suspense? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.


I and the Father are one.


Do you say of him whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world: Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?


Pilate therefore said to him: Art thou a king then? Jesus answered: Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth my voice.


The Jews answered him: We have a law; and according to the law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.


And he entered into the hall again, and he said to Jesus: Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.


But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing, you may have life in his name.


And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.


They said therefore to him: Who art thou? Jesus said to them: The beginning, who also speak unto you.


For the Son of God, Jesus Christ who was preached among you by us, by me, and Sylvanus, and Timothy, was not, It is and It is not, but, It is, was in him.


Who, when he was reviled, did not revile: when he suffered, he threatened not: but delivered himself to him that judged him unjustly.


And the men of Israel were joined together that day; and Saul adjured the people, saying: Cursed be the man that shall eat food till evening, till I be revenged of my enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.


And when the people came into the forest, behold, the honey dropped, but no man put his hand to his mouth. For the people feared the oath.


And one of the people answering said: Thy father hath bound the people with an oath, saying: Cursed be the man that shall eat any food this day. (And the people were faint.)
