And he saith to him: Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? But he was silent.


And hearing this they wondered, and leaving him, went their ways.


But the Pharisees hearing that he had silenced the Sadducees, came together:


And Jesus hearing this, marvelled; and said to them that followed him: Amen I say to you, I have not found so great faith in Israel.


Lying in wait for him, and seeking to catch something from his mouth, that they might accuse him.


And when he said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the things that were gloriously done by him.


And being upon the watch, they sent spies, who should feign themselves just, that they might take hold of him in his words, that they might deliver him up to the authority and power of the governor.


Now we know, that what things soever the law speaketh, it speaketh to them that are in the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be made subject to God.


For there are also many disobedient, vain talkers, and seducers: especially they who are of the circumcision:
