And bringing forth the people thereof, he sawed them, and drove over them chariots armed with iron: and divided them with knives, and made them pass through brick-kilns. So did he to all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David returned, with all the army to Jerusalem.


And they made their life bitter with hard works in clay, and brick, and with all manner of service, wherewith they were overcharged in the works of the earth.


Pharao, the king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people,


And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will send and take Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon my servant and I will set his throne over these stones which I have hid. And he shall set his throne over them.


And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias in Taphnis, saying:


Thus saith the Lord: Behold, I will deliver Pharao Ephree king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies and into the hand of them that seek his life: as I delivered Sedecias king of Juda into the hand of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon his enemy and that sought his life.


And thou, O son of man, take thee a tile and lay it before thee: and draw upon it the plan of the city of Jerusalem.


And I have spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and I have used similitudes by the ministry of the prophets.


Draw thee water for the siege, build up thy bulwarks: go into the clay, and tread, work it and make brick.


Who, when he was come to us, took Paul's girdle: and binding his own feet and hands, he said: Thus saith the Holy Ghost: The man whose girdle this is, the Jews shall bind in this manner in Jerusalem, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.


And a mighty angel took up a stone, as it were a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying: With such violence as this shall Babylon, that great city, be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
