And thou didst multiply their children as the stars of heaven: and broughtest them to the land concerning which thou hadst said to their fathers, that they should go in and possess it.


He multiplieth nations, and destroyeth them, and restoreth them again after they were overthrown.


The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.


And the Lord of hosts shall raise up a scourge against him, according to the slaughter of Madian in the rock of Oreb, and his rod over the sea. And he shall lift it up in the way of Egypt.


AND thou shalt say in that day: I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, for thou wast angry with me. Thy wrath is turned away: and thou hast comforted me.


The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, the rod of the rulers,


And they shall say in that day: Lo, this is our God: we have waited for him, and he will save us. This is the Lord: we have patiently waited for him, we shall rejoice and be joyful in his salvation.


Thou hast been favourable to the nation, O Lord: thou hast been favourable to the nation. Art thou glorified? Thou hast removed all the ends of the earth far off.


And the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and shall come into Sion with praise: and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness: and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.


It shall bud forth and blossom, and shall rejoice with joy and praise. The glory of Libanus is given to it: the beauty of Carmel, and Saron. They shall see the glory of the Lord and the beauty of our God.


GIVE praise, O thou barren, that bearest not; sing forth praise and make a joyful noise, thou that didst not travail with child: for many are the children of the desolate, more than of her that hath a husband, saith the Lord.


For you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. The mountains and the hills shall sing praise before ye: and all the trees of the country shall clap their hands.


I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, and my soul shall be joyful in my God. For he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation and with the robe of justice he hath covered me: as a bridegroom decked with a crown and as a bride adorned with her jewels.


For your double confusion and shame, they shall praise their part: therefore shall they receive double in their land. Everlasting joy shall be unto them.


Behold, my servants shall rejoice, and you shall be confounded: behold, my servants shall praise for joyfulness of heart, and you shall cry for sorrow of heart and shall howl for grief of spirit.


But you shall be glad and rejoice for ever in these things which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem, a rejoicing, and the people thereof, joy.


Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her.


For thus saith the Lord: Rejoice ye in the joy of Jacob and neigh before the head of the Gentiles. Shout ye and sing, and say: Save, O Lord, thy people, the remnant of Israel.


According to the multitude of them so have they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame.


I am the Lord your God: who have brought you out of the land of the Egyptians, that you should not serve the; and who have broken the chains of your necks, that you might go upright.


I will whistle for them, and I will gather them together, because I have redeemed them: and I will multiply them as they were multiplied before.


And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall be my people, and I will dwell in the midst of thee: and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me to thee.


Thus saith the Lord of hosts: In those days, wherein ten men of all languages of the Gentiles shall take hold, and shall hold fast the shirt of one that is a Jew, saying: We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.


But if a stronger than he come upon him, and overcome him; he will take away all his armour wherein he trusted, and will distribute his spoils.


And many, taken with the palsy, and that were lame, were healed.


Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, rejoice.


Whom having not seen, you love: in whom also now, though you see him not, you believe: and believing shall rejoice with joy unspeakable and glorified;


Hear, O ye kings, give ear, ye princes: It is I, it is I, that will sing to the Lord. I will sing to the Lord the God of Israel.


And the three hundred men nevertheless persisted sounding the trumpets. And the Lord sent the sword into all the camp, and they killed one another.


And Zebee and Salmana fled: and Gedeon pursued and took them, all their host being put in confusion.


And when he had brought him, behold they were lying spread upon all the ground, eating and drinking, and as it were keeping a festival day, for all the prey, and the spoils which they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Juda.
