His spirit hath adorned the heavens: and his obstetric hand brought forth the winding serpent.


Let them curse it who curse the day, who are ready to raise up a leviathan.


In his eyes as with a hook he shall take him, and bore through his nostrils with stakes.


I will not stir him up, like one that is cruel. For who can resist my countenance?


He sent Moses his servant: Aaron the man whom he had chosen.


Therefore we will not fear, when the earth shall be troubled; and the mountains shall be removed into the heart of the sea.


For, behold, the Lord will come out of his place, to visit the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth against him: and the earth shall disclose her blood and shall cover her slain no more.


Arise, arise, put on strength, O thou arm of the Lord: arise as in the days of old, in the ancient generations. Hast not thou struck the proud one, and wounded the dragon?


I will number you in the sword, and you shall all fall by slaughter: because I called and you did not answer, I spoke, and you did not hear. And you did evil in my eyes: and you have chosen the things that displease me.


The wolf and the lamb shall feed together; the lion and the ox shall eat straw; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor kill in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.


For the Lord shall judge by fire, and by his sword unto all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.


O thou sword of the Lord, how long wilt thou not be quiet? Go into thy scabbard: rest and be still.


O thou that dwellest upon many waters, rich in treasures, thy end is come for thy entire destruction.


Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon hath eaten me up: he hath devoured me: he hath made me as an empty vessel: he hath swallowed me up like a dragon: he hath filled his belly with my delicate meats and he hath cast me out.

And they adored the dragon, which gave power to the beast: and they adored the beast, saying: Who is like to the beast? and who shall be able to fight with him?


And I saw from the mouth of the dragon, and from the mouth of the beast, and from the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs.


And there came one of the seven angels, who had the seven vials, and spoke with me, saying: Come, I will shew thee the condemnation of the great harlot, who sitteth upon many waters,


And he said to me: The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and nations, and tongues.


And the rest were slain by the sword of him that sitteth upon the horse, which proceedeth out of his mouth; and all the birds were filled with their flesh.


In like manner do penance: if not, I will come to thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.


And he laid hold on the dragon the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
