And the people rejoiced, when they promised their offerings willingly: because they offered them to the Lord with all their heart. And David the king rejoiced also with a great joy.


And let all the rest in all places, wheresoever they dwell, help him every man from his place, with silver and gold, and goods, and cattle, besides that which they offer freely to the temple of God which is in Jerusalem.


And on the fourth day the silver, and the gold, and the vessels were weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Urias the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinees; and with them Jozabad the son of Josue, and Noadaia the son of Benoi, Levites.


For all these men thought to frighten us, thinking that our hands would cease from the work, and that we would leave off. Wherefore I strengthened my hands the more.


His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever.


And the children of Israel did as Moses had commanded: and they asked of the Egyptians vessels of silver and gold, and very much raiment.


And the Lord gave favour to the people in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them. And they stripped the Egyptians.


Strengthen ye the feeble hands, and confirm the weak knees.


Every one as he hath determined in his heart, not with sadness, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
