He shall have mercy on him, and shall say: Deliver him, that he may not go down to corruption. I have found wherein I may be merciful to him.


Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.


Who keepest mercy unto thousands: who takest away iniquity, and wickedness, and sin, and no man of himself is innocent before thee. Who renderest the iniquity of the fathers to the children, and to the grandchildren, unto the third and fourth generation.


I am, I am he that blot out thy iniquities for my own sake: and I will not remember thy sins.


And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying: Know the Lord. For all shall know me from the least of them even to the greatest, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.


And he prayed to the Lord, and said: I beseech thee, O Lord, is not this what I said, when I was yet in my own country? therefore I went before to flee into Tharsis: for I know that thou art a gracious and merciful God, patient, and of much compassion, and easy to forgive evil.


Who is a God like to thee, who takest away iniquity, and passest by the sin of the remnant of thy inheritance? he will send his fury in no more, because he delighteth in mercy.


In that day there shall be a fountain open to the house of David, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem: for the washing of the sinner, and of the unclean woman.


Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that cleaveth to me, saith the Lord of hosts: strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn my hand to the little ones.


Thou also by the blood of thy testament hast sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit, wherein is no water.


Even as the Son of man is not come to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a redemption for many.


For this is my blood of the new testament, which shall be shed for many unto remission of sins.


And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.


And he said to them: This is my blood of the new testament, which shall be shed for many.


To give knowledge of salvation to his people, unto the remission of their sins:


And that penance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, unto all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.


Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.


To him all the prophets give testimony, that by his name all receive remission of sins, who believe in him.


But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.


Take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.


Be penitent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.


Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and patience, and longsuffering? Knowest thou not, that the benignity of God leadeth thee to penance?


Being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption, that is in Christ Jesus,


Whom God hath proposed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to the shewing of his justice, for the remission of former sins,


That he might shew the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he hath prepared unto glory?


But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and justice, and sanctification, and redemption:


For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich he became poor, for your sakes; that through his poverty you might be rich.


Who is the pledge of our inheritance, unto the redemption of acquisition, unto the praise of his glory.


The eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know what the hope is of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.


Unto the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he hath graced us in his beloved son.


Which hath superabounded in us in all wisdom and prudence,


But God, (who is rich in mercy,) for his exceeding charity wherewith he loved us,


That he might shew in the ages to come the abundant riches of his grace, in his bounty towards us in Christ Jesus.


That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened by his Spirit with might unto the inward man,


To me, the least of all the saints, is given this grace, to preach among the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ,


And may my God supply all your want, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.


In whom we have redemption through his blood, the remission of sins;


To whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ, in you the hope of glory.


And you, when you were dead in your sins, and the uncircumcision of your flesh; he hath quickened together with him, forgiving you all offences:


That their hearts may be comforted, being instructed in charity, and unto all riches of fulness of understanding, unto the knowledge of the mystery of God the Father and of Christ Jesus:


Who gave himself a redemption for all, a testimony in due times.


Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works.


Whom he hath poured forth upon us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Savior:


And almost all things, according to the law, are cleansed with blood: and without shedding of blood there is no remission.


Who his own self bore our sins in his body upon the tree: that we, being dead to sins, should live to justice: by whose stripes you were healed.


Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit,


I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.


And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.


In this is charity: not as though we had loved God, but because he hath first loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.


These are they who were not defiled with women: for they are virgins. These follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, the firstfruits to God and to the Lamb:


And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation.
