And she conceived and bore a son, and called his name Ruben, saying: The Lord saw my affliction, now my husband will love me.


And said: God hath endowed me with a good dowry: this turn also my husband will be with me, because I have borne him six sons. And therefore she called his name Zabulon.


And when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land, whither thou goest to dwell, thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Garizim, the curse upon mount Hebal:


These shall stand upon mount Garizim to bless the people, when you are passed the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Juda, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.


And the Levites shall pronounce, and say to all the men of Israel with a loud voice:


Therefore when you are passed over the Jordan, set up the stones which I command you this day, in mount Hebal: and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.


And all the people, and the ancients, and the princes and judges stood on both sides of the ark, before the priests that carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, (both the stranger and he that was born among them,) half of them by mount Garizim, and half by mount Hebal, as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded. And first he blessed the people of Israel.
