O Lord God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep for ever this will of their heart: and let this mind remain always for the worship of thee.


And God said again to Moses: Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me to you. This is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.


They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say: Thy God, O Dan, liveth: and the way of Bersabee liveth: and they shall fall, and shall rise no more.


And many nations shall come in haste, and say: Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob: and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth out of Sion, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.


Every one therefore that shall confess me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven.


On these two commandments dependeth the whole law and the prophets.


All things therefore whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you also to them. For this is the law and the prophets.


As he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, who are from the beginning:


The law and the prophets were until John; from that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every one useth violence towards it.


And Abraham said to him: They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.


And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures, the things that were concerning him.


And he said to them: These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.


Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him: We have found him of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets did write, Jesus the son of Joseph of Nazareth.


To him all the prophets give testimony, that by his name all receive remission of sins, who believe in him.


And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying: Ye men, brethren, if you have any word of exhortation to make to the people, speak.


But there arose some of the sect of the Pharisees that believed, saying: They must be circumcised, and be commanded to observe the law of Moses.


Now at that time there arose no small disturbance about the way of the Lord.


But when some were hardened, and believed not, speaking evil of the way of the Lord, before the multitude, departing from them, he separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.


But he said: The God of our fathers hath preordained thee that thou shouldst know his will, and see the Just One, and shouldst hear the voice from his mouth.


And Felix put them off, having most certain knowledge of this way, saying: When Lysias the tribune shall come down, I will hear you.


We have found this to be a pestilent man, and raising seditions among all the Jews throughout the world, and author of the sedition of the sect of the Nazarenes.


Paul making answer for himself: Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I offended in any thing.


But being aided by the help of God, I stand unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other thing than those which the prophets, and Moses did say should come to pass:


Believest thou the prophets, O king Agrippa? I know that thou believest.


And my life indeed from my youth, which was from the beginning among my own nation in Jerusalem, all the Jews do know:


And now for the hope of the promise that was made by God to the fathers, do I stand subject to judgment:


But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest; for as concerning this sect, we know that it is every where contradicted.


And when they had appointed him a day, there came very many to him unto his lodgings; to whom he expounded, testifying the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, out of the law of Moses and the prophets, from morning until evening.


The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied before the face of Pilate, when he judged he should be released.


The God of our fathers hath raised up Jesus, whom you put to death, hanging him upon a tree.


I am the God of thy fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses being terrified, durst not behold.


And asked of him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues: that if he found any men and women of this way, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.


For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make a commemoration of you;


But now without the law the justice of God is made manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets.


For there must be also heresies: that they also, who are approved, may be made manifest among you.


Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects,


I give thanks to God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a pure conscience, that without ceasing, I have a remembrance of thee in my prayers, night and day.


A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:


Searching what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did signify: when it foretold those sufferings that are in Christ, and the glories that should follow:


And I fell down before his feet, to adore him. And he saith to me: See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren, who have the testimony of Jesus. Adore God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
