In that day there shall be a fountain open to the house of David, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem: for the washing of the sinner, and of the unclean woman.


Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.


He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.


Simon Peter saith to him: Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.


And he, taking them the same hour of the night, washed their stripes, and himself was baptized, and all his house immediately.


But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.


And now why tarriest thou? Rise up, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, invoking his name.


And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water; and the eunuch said: See, here is water: what doth hinder me from being baptized?


And Philip said: If thou believest with all thy heart, thou mayest. And he answering, said: I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.


But death reigned from Adam unto Moses, even over them also who have not sinned after the similitude of the transgression of Adam, who is a figure of him who was to come.


For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and in one Spirit we have all been made to drink.


But these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollo, for your sakes; that in us you may learn, that one be not puffed up against the other for another, above that which is written.


For our glory is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity of heart and sincerity of God, and not in carnal wisdom, but in the grace of God, we have conversed in this world: and more abundantly towards you.


Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting sanctification in the fear of God.


For as many of you as have been baptized in Christ, have put on Christ.


That he might sanctify it, cleansing it by the laver of water in the word of life:


Buried with him in baptism, in whom also you are risen again by the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him up from the dead.


Now the end of the commandment is charity, from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and an unfeigned faith.


Fight the good fight of faith: lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art called, and hast confessed a good confession before many witnesses.


Let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with clean water.


Accounting that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Whereupon also he received him for a parable.


Pray for us. For we trust we have a good conscience, being willing to behave ourselves well in all things.


How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?


For Jesus is not entered into the holies made with hands, the patterns of the true: but into heaven itself, that he may appear now in the presence of God for us.


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy hath regenerated us unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,


But with modesty and fear, having a good conscience: that whereas they speak evil of you, they may be ashamed who falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
