Psalm 37:16
9 交叉引用

The just eats and fills his soul. But the belly of the impious is never satisfied.

Better is a little with justice, than many fruits with iniquity.

Destitution in the house of the impious is from the Lord. But the habitations of the just shall be blessed.

lest perhaps, being filled, I might be enticed into denial, and say: 'Who is the Lord?' Or, being compelled by destitution, I might steal, and then perjure myself in the name of my God.

God has given, to the man who is good in his sight, wisdom, and knowledge, and rejoicing. But to the sinner, he has given affliction and needless worrying, so as to add, and to gather, and to deliver, to him who has pleased God. But this, too, is emptiness and a hollow worrying of the mind.

"A handful with rest is better than both hands filled with labors and with affliction of the soul."

Give us this day our life-sustaining bread.

But piety with sufficiency is great gain.
