He numbers the multitude of the stars, and he calls them all by their names.


The expectation of the just is rejoicing. But the hope of the impious will perish.


The strength of the simple is the way of the Lord, and it is fear to those who work evil.


The just one is freed from anguish. And the impious one will be handed over instead of him.


The impious will be expelled in his malice. But the just finds hope even in his own death.


So then, will you speak, in the presence of those who are destroying you, before the hand of those who are killing you, saying, 'I am God,' though you are a man, and not God?
