And having called together his twelve disciples, he gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to cure every sickness and every infirmity.


Cure the infirm, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You have received freely, so give freely.


Then he said to the man, "Extend your hand." And he extended it, and it was restored to health, just like the other one.


As he was speaking these things to them, behold, a certain ruler approached and adored him, saying: "Lord, my daughter has recently passed away. But come and impose your hand upon her, and she will live."


They will take up serpents, and, if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them. They shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they will be well."


And he beseeched him greatly, saying: "For my daughter is near the end. Come and lay your hand on her, so that she may be healthy and may live."


And he was not able to perform any miracles there, except that he cured a few of the infirm by laying his hands on them.


And they brought someone who was deaf and mute to him. And they begged him, so that he would lay his hand upon him.


And he laid his hands upon her, and immediately she was straightened, and she glorified God.


Then, when the sun had set, all those who had anyone afflicted with various diseases brought them to him. Then, laying his hands on each one of them, he cured them.


Now among these places were estates owned by the ruler of the island, named Publius. And he, taking us in, showed us kind hospitality for three days.


When this had been done, all who had diseases on the island approached and were cured.


And when they had all been sent outside, Peter, kneeling down, prayed. And turning to the body, he said: "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes and, upon seeing Peter, sat up again.


And indeed, God has established a certain order in the Church: first Apostles, second Prophets, third Teachers, next miracle-workers, and then the grace of healing, of helping others, of governing, of different kinds of languages, and of the interpretation of words.


to another, in the same Spirit, faith; to another, in the one Spirit, the gift of healing;
